- Marriott Hotel
555 Canal St, New Orleans, LA 70130 (504)581-1000 http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/msyla-new-orleans-marriott
This hotel was great. It is located on Canal St, two blocks from Bourbon St and has a great view overlooking the river and the city. The reason why we would recommend this hotel is the guest service. First of all we had to leave home late so our check-in time was pushed back until about 11:30pm, they were very understanding about that.
Secondly, we bought our tickets from a travel website which said we would get a room with a view, but failed to mention that to the hotel. We get there and our reservations were for the 5th floor, no view. I was greatly saddened by this but after explaining the situation we were upgraded to the 40th floor suite. The room was amazing. It overlooked the river and the city since we were in a corner. The room was large and provided everything we needed. I wish I could remember the name of the front desk clerk that upgraded us as she deserves credit.
Lastly, the bell service was awesome. The desk clerks helped us all throughout the day and provided A+ service.
Oh yeah, this vacation was marked as Kelly's favorite so far, so you can check it out here.
- IP Casino Resort & Spa
850 Bayview Avenue Biloxi, MS 39530 1-800-946-2847 http://www.ipbiloxi.com/
The IP Casino Hotel & Resort is your one stop destination for all of your coast needs. They have a hotel, casino, spa, multiple restaurants (including a one-of-a-kind Brazilian experience), meeting areas, concerts, and a pool with a poolside bar / restaurant.
The restaurants here are outstanding and really meet anyone's appetite. They have food for all walks of life in their Back Bay Buffet, they have a award winning fine dining restaurant perched on top of their hotel (its on the 32nd floor, hence the name thirty-two), they have a sports bar that is completely surrounded on all sides with TVs so you can view any game at any time.
The employees are great and are very helpful. I stay here all the time and I have never complained about the service, the amenities, or the property. I give this place 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone coming to the coast. If you visited the Imperial Palace Casino before hurricane Katrina then you should definitely come back to see the updated property as well as the new management they completely left the old casino and brought it to the 21st century.
- Islas Palomino Callao
Av Arequipa 4964 Of.202 Miraflores, Peru
99494867, 2426655

The people that work for this touring company are friendly and the prices are great. If you go to Peru, Kelly and I highly recommend buying a ticket on this charter boat and swimming with the seals. The water is freezing but they provide wet suits....so no worries.
They also provide snacks and drinks so you will not need to bring any. Their snacks are a bowl of Chex mix and some Inca Kola. It was good after a cold swim.
They even give you a really cool parting gift when the trip is over. Take a look at it:

Its completely hand made with shell. We got some video and pictures of our trip if you want to see it for yourself. You can see them <a href="media.php">here Definitely worth the $30 a person. The seals get right next to you....not within touching range but withing a few feet.
- Gold Coast Skydivers
I.H. Bass Jr. Memorial Airport
3865 Hwy 13, Lumberton, Mississippi 39455
http://www.goldcoastskydivers.com
If you ever want to go skydiving then this is the place to go in Mississippi or anywhere else for that matter. They are currently the only skydiving place in Mississippi but I would recommend them to anyone, even people coming from the other side of the world.
They are very professional and very clear about what you have to do and what is the best way to do it. They realize that some people are scared but they will help you get over that fear quickly.
The one bad thing that we experienced was the wait time. We arrived at 10:30am for our 11:30am appointment, but did not jump until 2:00pm. I was told that this was not normal and they were especially busy that day. In their defense me and Kelly were both wanting videos and to jump together so they had to get 2 camera people together in between jumps.
Other then that I would give them 5 stars if I actually had a rating system here.
